- Let me start by saying most of the actual book has good information that is easy to follow so I'm really happy with that. However, the Pokedex in the back is pretty jacked up. I realize this isn't necessarily the writers issue -more like the editor or publisher but still causes me pause for reliability and accuracy. Pages 44 and 45 are exactly the same and after Rhydon appears in his proper place at the bottom of page 51 he continues to appear in the page bottom position on every page until page 63, regardless of the actual Pokemon listed.
- This is the first actual book I have found on how to play the game, and what all the items do that are included. An alphabetical list of the Pokémon could be used in addition to the awesome Pokedex that takes up 2/3rds of the book. Just makes me wonder where the 300+ Pokémon are that aren't listed in my phone, that are needed to fill the entire Pokedex.
Do you have to fill all 378 slots before you can get more, or what? have to finish reading the book to find out. But overall an awesome guide. - I chose this rating because I liked the book. It was well written with lots of details about the game. It explains everything that you need to know about how to play. It is organized and easy to understand. Anyone who loves this game would benefit from this book. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to succeed at playing this unique game.
- After reading a bunch of different guides, this one seems to be updated with the newer information that is available in the game updates. One useful tool that I haven't ever seen in a guide is the attack damage guide. It shows you what moves do what damage which is a huge addition to many of the other guides that I have reviewed.
- This book, also by Mark Nathan, is a further tutorial complete with in-depth instructions on how to play the Pokemon Go! Game. It has more of the required images to accompany the instructions, which is a plus. I liked the elaborate details, including different ways and places to catch Pokemon. The game is indeed addicting! Good job on this book, providing information to non-players!
- I never played the games growing up but I had some knowledge of it in general. When Pokemon Go came out, I again had a general idea of what it was but did not fully understand. This book gives a well thought out way of describing everything that happens in order to find gyms, Pokemon, battles, etc. It also goes over every type of attack and what you can expect to see while playing.
- I’ve bought and read too many Pokémon go books to count. They were all so basic I would be disappointed in the lack of revelation they provided. This book, however, gave me lots of valuable info. I highlighted the heck out of it.
